According to Astan News reporter, the 15-person group got familiar with the activities of different departments of Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Researches Foundation in the meeting held today’s noon.
Speaking among these cultural activists, responsible of scientific and research cooperation of the foundation said, "Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Researches Foundation is a cultural center trying to expand Islamic teachings around the Islamic world".
Ali Salmani Rahimi stressed, "Over twenty million pilgrims visit this place every year and five million of whom are non-Iranians. To reach to this goal, the center is following its activities in three levels".
He went on to say, "The first level is to consolidate beliefs and to have more enjoyment from the Razavi pilgrimage. The other level of this center’s activities is related to the Islamic world as large portions of the pilgrims are non-Shia people and the last level is to talk and interact, to copy Imam Reza’s (A.S.) tradition, with other religions".  
Scientific and research responsible of Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Research Foundation added, "Imam Reza’s (A.S.) debates with salient Sunni figures and also Jew and Christian scholars are great lessons to have some takes from Imam Reza’s (A.S.) cultural opportunities".
He mentioned, "This center was established in 1363SH/ 1984A.D. and it has been successful to publish two thousand book titles and to hold some international forums and conferences".
Noting that the Foundation deals with the human issues and Islamic teaching on ethical rise and also peaceful co-thinking and co-existence, this researcher said, "The center is about to hold congress of “Imam Reza (A.S.) and Interfaith Dialogue” up to the end of the current Persian year". 
He stated, "Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Research Foundation has published some works written by Syrian figures up to now and it announces its readiness for more cooperation with cultural people of this country".
Cultural Interactions between Iran and Syria Turns back to Pre-Islam Era 
Regarding this issue, Hossein Latifi center’s researcher of Islamic thought and discourse stressed, "Iran’s cultural communications and interactions with Syria turns back to the years before Islam".
He reiterated, "Islamic Research Foundation is one of the institutes in which religions proximity is a large portion of its activities. This center’s department of Islamic Thought and Discourse has also held some conferences and published many various works focusing on Islamic proximity".
Referring to some conferences held on the area of different religions, this researcher said, "Over seven conferences have ever been held in the area of religions with wide presence of Sunni Muslims. Conference of “Imam Reza (A.S.) in Sunni sources” is one of these scientific events held in three pre-conferences and one main conference".
He continued, "The first pre-conference was held in Torbat-e Jam with the topic of “Imam Reza (A.S.) in Sunnis' Traditions”, the second pre-conference was held in Taybad and “Scientific character and practical conduct of Imam Reza (A.S.) in Sunni sources” was the topic of which, and the last pre-conference was held in Sarakhs with the topic of “Selsele al-Zahab tradition in Sunni sources”".
Latifi reminded, "The main conference was held with the presence of Sunni scholars from North, South, and Razavi Khorsans, and also Kurdistan province. Some foreign figures from Iraq, Syria, and Tajikistan were also present in this conference held in Astan Quds Razavi’s Islamic Research Foundation". 
He stated, "Around twenty articles have been selected to be published with the title of “Imam Reza (A.S.) in Sunni sources” in near future".
Latifi referred to the works of this center on the issue of religions proximity and said, "Dictionary of propagation for missionaries” is one of these works which examines, in different volumes, thoughts and ideas of Shia and Sunni scholars".
He stressed, "Loving others in celestial religions”, “history of relations between Muslims and Christians”, “Imam Reza (A.S.), axis of unity and dignity”, “Islamic unity and integrity in shared traditions between Sunni and Shia” are other works under publications".
