The deputy custodian of Astan Quds Razavi has announced distribution of 10,000 and 2,000 livelihood packages in flood-stricken areas in Sistan and Baluchistan and Hormozgan provinces respectively.
Mustafa Khaksar Qahroudi briefed the press on measures taken by Astan Quds Razavi in areas affected by the sudden floods in southern and eastern Iran.
“The setting up of a mobile kitchen in the area with a capacity of 15,000 portions of food per day and distributing 10,000 blankets are primary AQR services to help the people in eastern Iran,” he said.
Moreover, honorary members of AQR Medical Department are present in flooded areas, providing free medical services and free medicine delivery among the people.
“The Iranian people’s donations are received via SMS code (*8#) by Astan Quds Razavi which will be allocated to the relief-seeking people in the affected areas,” he commented.
In the end, he noted that the first steps in such situations would be identification and prioritization, so AQR experts in the first hours of the flood started dispatching teams to identify the needs of people and then provided services.
