Heeding commonalities of Islamic sects, sole way to dignity of Muslims: chief custodian

The path of salvation, pride, dignity and glory of the Muslims is the same one that Imam Khomeini, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the late Sheikh Abdul Majid Salim and the late Sheikh Shaltut introduced, and that is the thinking to consider the commonalities among Islamic sects.

The above was stated by Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi in a meeting with the secretary general of Pakistan’s Muslim Unity Assembly, at martyr Qassem Soleimani auditorium of the holy shrine.
Congratulating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA) and commemorating the 40th day of the martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and other martyrs of Resistance Movement, he said: “We consider Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, as one of the examples of the people referred to in the holy verse ‘Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds—the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.’”
He added: “Martyr Soleimani was a true believer and he had his strong belief in divine victory. The righteous deed of this great martyr was one of the best deeds that eradicated ISIS, made by America, Zionism and reactionary governments in the region.”
“The US believed that martyrdom of this brave commander meant the end of the Resistance, but they are unaware that we strongly believe in this noble verse, “And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,” he went on to say.
According to him, the United States has shown the world its arrogant temper, and disregard for international laws and regulations by committing such a crime. “The US does not adhere to any legal standards or commitments; is this right to be associated with such a country?”
“The Americans wanted to take revenge on martyr Soleimani for the annihilation of ISIS which was their own doing,” he said. “By creating this evil group, on one hand they intended to defame the Muslims, and on the other hand, to cast schism amongst them. Yet martyr Soleimani destroyed this treacherous and dangerous plot by implementing the Leader’s measures.”
He stressed awakening the Muslim nation, especially the youths, against the enemies of Islam and boosting unity among Islamic sects.
“The Prophet (pbuh) of Islam managed to create the greatest Islamic and humanitarian civilization by uniting all the tribes and groups during the period of ignorance; if Muslims want to achieve the dignity, majesty and pride that Islam has predestined for them they have no other way but unity,” he commented.
Referring to historical examples of Shia-Sunni unity, he said: “In the course of history, there have been friendship and fraternity between Sunnis and Shias on many occasions and Muslims have lived peacefully together. There has always been an atmosphere of brotherhood and friendship between various Islamic sects although divisions and quarrels appeared ever since Britain and then the United States set foot in the Muslim nations.”
He pointed out that in order to minimize the power of Muslims and to fulfill their colonial ill intentions, the enemy created Bahá’í Faith among Shia, and Wahhabis among Sunnis.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Nasser Abbas Jafari, the secretary general of Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly, expressed condolences over the martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani and appreciated the services of Astan Quds Razavi to Pakistani pilgrims.
