Six polling stations were set up in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) on the occasion of the eleventh term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament) and the midterm elections of the Assembly of Experts nationwide.

From the early hours of morning, the holy shrine witnessed mass participation of people, pilgrims and neighbors in voting process at the holy shrine who cast their votes in different specified stations.
Casting his vote, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, the chief custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi, stated that the voting day is literally an example of Divine days, saying: “Presence in one of the polling stations in the disadvantaged areas of Mashhad is reminding officials of the true patrons of the country. I hope the elected representatives pay attention to the problems and hardships in these areas.”
He added that if we want to have an Islamic community, we must exercise justice; through justice, Islamic precepts are implemented in society.
“The more votes a representative has, the heavier his or her responsibility will be,” he remarked.
