AQR makes huge contribution to Iran’s health system

Astan Quds Razavi has contributed both medical and non-medical assistances to Iran’s National Headquarters for Fighting Coronavirus, says Mohammad Hossein Ostadagha, director of Razavi Karamat Foundation.

Ostadagha said: “AQR’s new plan of “Volunteer Defenders of Health” has just started to work in three provinces of Tehran, Gilan, and Qom”.
He referred to health assistant (serving patients), sewing assistant (producing hospital clothing), voice of health (phone consultation for the citizens), servant of health defenders (assisting medical staff), servant of neighborhood’s health (disinfecting urban facilities), health Husseiniyah (temporary rest place for those treated), and financial assistant ( financial supports) as seven main services planned and rendered under AQR.
AQR official further noted that over 1500 volunteers have enrolled in this plan in Tehran; AQR is going to offer its services to all 10 hospitals fighting the pandemic in the capital.
Ostadagha added: “Around 420 volunteer physicians give free of charge phone consultations for four hours per day as well”.  
He concluded his remarks by saying: “According to the order issued by AQR chief custodian, spiritual programs and virtual pilgrimage of Imam Reza (AS) shrine will be held in all hospitals of the country fighting Coronavirus. All patients and medical staff of these hospitals and medical centers will also be invited to the guesthouse of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine”.
