AQR distributes 50k food, hygiene packages in Mashhad’s poor neighborhoods

Astan Quds Razavi has distributed 50 thousand food and hygiene packages, worth 100bn rials, among poor families living in the deprived neighborhoods of Mashhad, said Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.

Speaking among a group of reporters, Hoj. Marvi referred to the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus in the country, saying: “I urge all my benefactor and faithful countrymen to care about those in need”.
He added: “These days many people, particularly the daily wage workers have lost a considerable amount of their revenues. I would like to ask all Iranians to care about them and to support these people”.   
Elsewhere in his remarks, Marvi explained about AQR’s services to stop the virus, saying: “We take it our duty to help people and to make all the facilities of the organization available for the public as much as we afford medically and financially.”
 According to him, because of the coronavirus-related problems, AQR will not collect rentals from its tenants for a couple of months.
 “Imam Reza Hospital of Mashhad has received a 15-billion-Rial financial assistance from Astan Quds Razavi and we will render supports if needed,” he observed.
Marvi added: “The companies affiliated with Astan Quds Razavi produce three thousand liters of disinfectants and 40 thousand face masks per day; a large amount of these products have been distributed in the marginal areas of the city for free and this trend will be continued”.  
Concluding his remarks, Hoj. Marvi said: “With respect to the enactment of country’s National Headquarters for Fighting Coronavirus in prohibiting any form of gathering and with regard to the fact that transmission of the pandemic is highly in the social gatherings, I urge all dear people of Iran to follow Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine’s new year programs either on social networks or IRIB channels this year”.
