There will be no time restriction for pilgrimage to Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine under the supervision of Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of the holy shrine, governor-generalship of Khorasan Razavi Province and Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.

Announcing the above in a visit with the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, Health Minister Dr. Saeed Namaki expressed his thanks for wise management of AQR during the coronavirus pandemic. “Efficient management, prudence and wise decision-making at Astan Quds Razavi played a key role in management of coronavirus crisis in Khorasan Razavi Province.”
The minister also lauded AQR’s role in management and leading the other holy shrines in the country, saying: “Astan Quds Razavi immensely helped corona management in other holy shrines as an important and influential source of authority and Hoj. Marvi’s role in this influential strategy was very outstanding.”
Pointing to various meetings and sessions with the chief custodian of AQR and the Anti-Corona Headquarters, Dr. Namaki said the decision to lift time restrictions on visiting the holy shrine was made due to the hot weather in the shrine city of Mashhad in cooperation with the senior officials in the province. “According to the decisions, the ministry will supervise the general health protocols and Astan Quds Razavi and other authorities in charge will be responsible for right implementation of the health protocol requirements for the health and welfare of the pilgrims.”
The minister asked all pilgrims to strictly observe social distancing and use face masks while visiting the holy shrine, “since the Ministry of Health and Medical Education is working day and night to serve people and assure health and safety of the society.”
Dr. Namaki, in the end, warned that ignoring health protocols and requirements may bring back heavier wave of coronavirus pandemic.
