Imam Reza Intl. University to expand cooperation with other AQR organizations

The head of the newly established Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi has called for expansion of cooperation between Imam Reza International University and other organizations, institutions and offices affiliated to Astan Quds Razavi, the body in charge of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine.

Meeting members of the board of directors at a tour of the university, Hoj. Mohammad Mahdavi Mehr stressed the need to expand the university’s scientific ties with neighboring and Muslim countries and to use a variety of international strategies.
“Logically we should address the needs and shortcomings in the society and reconsider opening new disciplines in the university. Today, it is essential to plan for the establishment of medical disciplines,” he said, referring to the existence of medical institutions under the AQR supervision.
Pointing to the need for establishing knowledge-based companies, he underscored more cooperation with the AQR Endowment Productivity Foundation to create sustainable financial resources.
Furthermore, Morteza Rojuie, the president of Imam Reza International University, stated that currently over 800 foreign students from 6 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Nigeria and Tanzania, are studying at this university.
Addressing the provision of infrastructure for the activities of research centers in the university, he said: “According to the new regulations of the Ministry of Science, the permission to establish research centers in universities has been vested in the Board of Trustees and we are working by the support of existing disciplines at the university to formally launch the Urban Planning and Architecture, Innovation in Religious Education, Biotechnology and Health, Data Processing and Security and Strategic Management Studies research centers.”
