AQR donates 6,000 books to libraries and cultural centers nationwide

Astan Quds Razavi has donated more than 6,000 copies of books to cultural centers, Razavi house of pilgrims and deprived areas of Mashhad and other cities.

Hossein Khosravi, the deputy director of libraries at AQR Libraries, Museums and Documentation Organization stated that one of the missions of the organization is to donate books to cultural centers in Mashhad and other cities across the country with priority given to deprived areas.
“Upon the request of various centers and their need for specific topics, these books are selected by the representative of each center before delivery,” he said.
He pointed to the preparation of more than 3,000 copies of books on various subjects to be donated to the library of Hazrat Ali Asqar (AS) in the city of Taybad, among other measures taken by the organization.
Pointing to the two-year sequence of cooperation between AQR mobile and telephone library in order to prepare cultural packages for pilgrims with Imam Reza Central Pharmacy in Mashhad, Khosravi noted, “In this regard, more than 1200 books to prepare donation packages, and 300 copies for use in the study station of the pharmacy have been sent to the place.”
“During Karamat celebrations this year, nearly 900 books have been sent to the Razavi house of pilgrims, which include 231 printed books in Persian and Arabic, as well as 600 copies of books on various topics,” he commented.
He furthermore announced donation of more than 700 books on various topics to the Hajiabad village in the city of Taybad, about 500 copies on religious, social, literary and other topics to Al-Mahdi military school in the city of Babol and more than 130 copies to the Basij base of the martyred defenders of holy shrines in Mashhad during Karamat celebrations.
