Take serious care of the poor and the needy: chief custodian
Given that caring for people is quite evident in the life of the Infallible Imams (AS), Astan Quds Razavi has put it on the agenda to address the hardships of the poor and the needy in any way possible.

Hoj. Ahmad Marvi, in a meeting with the CEO and members of the board of directors of the Karamat Razavi Foundation, which was held in the Vilayat auditorium of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), while expressing condolences over the days of Muharram stated: “The measures taken by Karamat Razavi Foundation to take care of the needy and help the oppressed in various fields, including providing livelihood are very important.”
Enumerating the reasons for the importance of the foundation’s support measures from the perspective of narrations and taken from the life of the Infallibles (AS), he quoted an example from the conduct of Hazrat Reza (AS) facing the people, saying, “The Infallible Imams have been always a shelter for the people and their homes were always open to them and people came to solve various problems such as religious doubts, religious issues, financial and livelihood needs.”
He mentioned the narration the people are the family of God and its manifestation in the life of the Imams and expressed hope that all AQR relevant officials make endeavor to aid the needy.
“We hope to be able to follow all the orders of the Imams in relation to serving the people as it was their own way of life, and in this way, we ask for help and assistance from these noble figures,” he said.
“God Almighty in Quran has stated that good deeds are equivalent to best deeds and in various matters of life such as prayer and worship, work and life, the criterion is doing the best deed,” he noted.
Hoj. Marvi, afterwards recounted the criteria of good practices in the Karamat Razavi Foundation, adding, “Numbers and figures, media productions such as photos, videos and the like are not important; best action does not mean that our works have an advertising range, only the result of the work is important.”
He pointed out that one should pursue the divine commands in the system of Imam Reza (AS) and make best deeds the focus and criterion of his actions. “In special circumstances such as the coronavirus outbreak, one of the examples of the best deed is providing livelihood items for the people in need, yet the important question is what is the best action of the servants of Imam Reza (AS) in normal circumstances?”
“We should focus on works that are worthy of this spiritual establishment even if they do not have much external appearance. Undoubtedly, fulfilling the orders of the Revolution’s Leader is one of the obvious examples of the best deeds,” he commented.
AQR chief custodian then pointed to the emphasis of the Revolution’s Leader on the issue of population growth and childbearing, adding that unfortunately, no serious action has been taken by the authorities to maintain the majority of the youth force in the society.
“Karamat Razavi Foundation with its services and capabilities can implement good programs for population growth to fulfill the order of the Revolution’s Leader and certainly such plans and programs implemented in this path will be effective and are supported by AQR,” he stressed.
Hoj. Marvi asked all people in AQR departments including those in Karamat Razavi Foundation to carry out actions and programs upon study, expert-level work, accuracy and with financial discipline; accordingly no AQR department will be outside the audit system.
In conclusion, while appreciating the services of the Foundation in implementing support programs since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, and appreciating the people’s participation in benevolent affairs and helping the deprived, he remarked that these auspicious deeds should continue and “in this direction we should all consider ourselves in need of Imam Reza’s care and attention.”
