Observing health protocols during Imam Hussein’s mourning ceremonies brings malicious plots to naught: AQR chief custodian
Speaking in the oration ritual of Ashura night in Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine’s Enghelab Eslami courtyard, Marvi expressed his condolences over Imam Hussein’s martyrdom anniversary, saying: “There are many traditions emphasizing the significance of pilgrimage in Imam Hussein’s holy shrine. For example, Imam Kazem (AS) says: Whoever goes to the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, his sins will be forgiven up to the moment of his pilgrimage in Karbala”.
He referred to the lack of wisdom and insight as main reasons behind some Muslims’ deviation from the path of Ahl al-Bayt and reminded that “Holy Quran tells us source of teachings of religion after Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) departure. If Muslims had followed Quranic orders during the time of Infallible Imams (AS), Quran would have guided them perfectly”.
AQR chief custodian added: “The arrows injuring Imam Hussein’s sacred body on the day of Ashura were nothing but arrows of ignorance”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Marvi pointed to this year’s glorious Muharram ceremonies despite pandemic outbreak throughout the country, saying that Imam Hussein’s influence on the hearts of people is so immense that his mourning ceremonies are not stopped at all.
He went on to say: “Although we were challenging coronavirus pandemic this year, the glory of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions’ mourning ceremonies were not overshadowed. In fact, every house and ally has turned into a mourning place this year”.
The chief custodian of AQR further noted that “Religious and faithful people have to be appreciated as they not only observed health protocols but also nullified enemies’ pretext for imposing pressure. They held mourning ceremonies of Imam Hussein (AS) in the most glorious possible way”.
Pointing to public insight during these ceremonies, he said: “People of our country kept Imam Hussein’s name alive on one hand and did not give any pretext to the enemies on the other hand. This indicates people’s deep insight”.
Referring to public response to Ayatollah Khamenei’s call for observing health protocols during mourning ceremonies, Marvi said: “The Leader of Islamic Revolution held his mourning ceremonies in the attendance of no one to show that Imam Hussein’s mourning ceremonies shall not be stopped at all”.
Concluding his remarks, Hoj. Marvi appreciated Shia scholars for their courage against superstitious acts conducted by the reactionary sources and said: “Expressing the right idea, they stood by the truth of religion, teachings of Ahl al-Bayt, and religious as well as Shia wisdom”.
