Prominent cultural figure takes helm of AQR Institute of Artistic Creations
The new managing director of Astan Quds Razavi’s Institute of Artistic Creations, has been appointed upon an order by Hoj. Mohammad Mahdavi Mehr, the head of AQR Scientific and Cultural Organization. Amir Mahdi Hakimi is a prominent cultural figure in the shrine city of Mashhad, northeast Iran.

Moving in line with realization of the Leader’s declaration on the second step of the Revolution, paying attention to the AQR missions in the fields of culture and art and also the Islamic civilization, striving for the Razavi guidelines and developing education, research and artistic innovations are among the cases stressed in the letter of appointment.
Hakimi, one of the well-known cultural and artistic figures in the holy city of Mashhad, has previously served as art advisor to the senior director of the holy shrine, the director of the Islamic Literature and Art Department of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization, the director of writers’ elite association and Khorasan seminary school.
He has published dozens of books and also has successful experiences in the field of photography and documentary filmmaking. His latest achievement has been his documentary dubbed When Mahdi Was Born at the Alter do Chao International Documentary Film Festival in Brazil.
