Imam Reza Intl. University seeks active scientific interactions in international level
Active scientific interactions in international level is a key policy of Imam Reza (AS) International University, says Dr. Morteza Rojouei, president of the university.

In a meeting with Dr. Afshin Akhondzadeh Basti, the official in charge of Foreign Students Affairs of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and Vahid Alayi, the director of Consular Affairs of the ministry, he highlighted the objectives of the university as establishing communication networks with global scientific institutes and links between foreign elite and the academic and student body of the university, increasing international agreements with foreign and domestic universities, institutes and educational and cultural centers and paving the way for the exchange programs of professors and students with prestigious universities and international scientific centers.
The official went on over the new policies announced by Astan Quds Razavi, saying that in the scientific and cultural field, gaining scientific authority in related fields, commensurate with potential and actual capacities, and scientific support of missions to achieve the AQR vision are clearly stated.
“Supporting the elite and top students from Muslim nations with the priority of neighboring countries and the fields required by the target community, will be pursued in accordance with the AQR missions in the university,” he noted.
The university has received permit from the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 1995, and started work in 2000. According to the latest ranking by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Imam Reza (AS) International University was introduced the top non-public university in Iran. The university offers courses in three levels of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral and in recent years, the development of postgraduate courses has been on the university’s agenda.
The official stated that the university with 6 faculties of technology and engineering, humanities, administrative sciences, physical education and sports sciences, educational sciences and psychology, and architecture and urban planning is one of the major universities in the country.
According to Dr. Rojouei, the university awards free scholarships to distinguished and deprived Iranian and foreign students based on cultural and academic indicators. “Over 1000 foreign students study in this university, 75% of whom are male and 25% female students.”
“Due to coronavirus pandemic, all courses are observed via e-learning,” he remarked.
Also, Dr. Akhondzadeh Basti in turn made some points on the development of scientific and international cooperation of the university with other universities and academic centers across the world.
