Fifty Iranian artists make calligraphies of holy Quran in Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine
Fifty top Iranian artists and calligraphers have created artistic works on verses of the Holy Quran in a special artistic ceremony organized by Astan Quds Razavi’s Institute of Artistic Creations, says Javad Barati, the official in charge of Rezvan School of Art.

Observing all health protocols, the artistic gathering named Strong Fortress was held in the holy shrine’s Dar al-Marhamah Portico concurrent with the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations and birth anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).
The artists all hold an Excellent Degree in calligraphy, Barati said, adding “Different artworks with religious themes and focusing on Hazrat Zahra’s (SA) birthday were created in the two-hour program. Calligraphy, paintings in calligraphy, miniature, and tea-house paintings were among the products of the program”.
Referring to the participation of salient national and international figures in the program, he added: “The art program has been arranged to fulfill the goal of promotion of Islamic art and culture in spiritual places such as Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine. The event meant to add to the spiritual spirit of the artists as well as more synergy among them”.
Barati expressed hope to hold an exhibition of these artworks for the public in future.
He further informed that video clips and images of the event are all available on Instagram pages of Rezvan Art School and Astan Quds Razavi’s Institute of Artistic Creations on @rezvan-artschool and @aqart.ir respectively.
