AQR teaches 35,000 Quran learners in Mahd al-Reza (AS) classes
Astan Quds Razavi has announced training of 35,000 Quran learners in the educational classes of Mahd al-Reza (AS), both in-person and online during the last two years.

Hoj. Massoud Mirian, the director of the Holy Quran Center and head of Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine’s Quranic Sciences Office, made comments on the changes exerted during the outbreak of the coronavirus in the Quranic programs of the holy shrine.
 “During this period, the programs of this office were shifted to cyberspace, and this trend will continue in the post-corona period. Moreover, in these days, the Quran learners participated in various training courses now in cyberspace,” he said.
“The Quranic project of ‘I love Quran’ is a national project which will be held in the holy shrines across the country with the centrality of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine,” he noted.
He pointed out that at the end of this project, the final exam will be presented online, along with the awarding of certificates to the admitted students while every week three prizes of 10 million Tomans will be granted to the participants.
Regarding the activities of Mahd al-Reza classes he added that in 2019, more than 25,000 students participated in over 470 branches and about 120 classes were held throughout the country. This year, due to the pandemic restrictions, about 10,000 Quran learners are present in the virtual and face-to-face classes.
Registration for these classes is done every year nationwide, through the website of AQR’s Holy Quran Center.
Mirian further noted that Mahd al-Reza TV program will go on air soon, in cooperation with the Quran and Ma’aref TV channel, as well as the children and young adults programs in national radio and television, in the form of 27 training sessions.
 “Currently, every night, Razavi recitation chairs are held from 18:30 to 19:30 in Dar al-Quran al-Karim of the holy shrine, broadcast live through social networks as well as the Razavi TV channel,” he commented.
Mirian, elsewhere pointed to a recommendation by the Revolution’s Leader to train 10 million Quran memorizers across the country, saying, “In line with this decree, the Razavi memorization project is being implemented and our prediction is that in 1400 AH, we will be able to train about 5,000 Quran memorizers in the country.”
“We are currently conducting training courses on memorization and concepts of the Quran in cooperation with Quranic institutes across the country, which will be held virtually and in person,” he remarked.
