AQR’s schools, universities target high quality Islamic education: Chief custodian
Offering a great pattern of Islamic education is the most paramount goal behind foundation of Imam Reza schools and university, says Astan Quds Razavi’s chief custodian Hoj. Ahmad Marvi.

Speaking in a meeting with Imam Reza International University’s board of trustees, Hoj. Marvi added: “AQR has no intrinsic duty for establishing a university or a school. The main duty of this organization is bound to pilgrims, pilgrimage, and publicity as well as boosting teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) unless it wants to offer an Islamic model for the world”.
Stating that Imam Reza International University is attributed to Imam Reza (AS), the scholar of prophet Mohammad’s progeny, he said its scientific status must align this attribution. “There is no shortage of universities and higher education centers in the country; therefore, Imam Reza International University has to pay attention to quality more than quantity and it must strive for excellence in all domains”.
AQR chief custodian asked officials of Imam Reza International University to help promotion of the university to the level of top universities in the country, by planning and preparing a specific schedule. “To reach this target, AQR is ready to provide all it can to support this academic center”.
“The essential aim of this university must be training specialized, distinguished and outstanding graduates so that they can be effective in science, spirituality, and culture both in the country and in the region,” he noted.
Also, being adorned by holy name of Imam Reza (AS) and attributed to AQR were introduced by Hoj. Ahmad Marvi as two unique advantages of Imam Reza International University.
According to him, attribution of this university to AQR is the main difference, great asset, and the huge spiritual capacity of this university which must be used properly.
