Islamic countries must unite to fight Zionist Islamophobia project: AQR chief custodian
Unity among Islamic countries is a must to fight the Zionist project of Islamophobia, says Astan Quds Razavi’s chief custodian Hoj. Ahmad Marvi in a meeting with Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine.

Expressing hope that the visit would result in closer relations between the two nations of Iran and Pakistan, Hoj. Marvi said: “We consider dignity, independence, and authority of Pakistan as those of Iran; we do defend Pakistan’s stance in the issue of Kashmir.”
Noting that intellectual poems of Iqbal Lahori have always been respected by Iranians, Hoj. Marvi added: “Iran shares around 920 kilometers of its borders with Pakistan; the two nations have also different common symbols including respect for Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the national rituals such as Nowruz”.
Regarding Western-sponsored Islamophobia plots, AQR chief custodian went on to say: “All Islamic countries must employ all their facilities to eliminate misunderstandings and suspicions about Islam; moreover, they have to defend the religion and fight against all Islamophobia moves”.
He attributed the origin of Islamophobia plots to Zionism, stressing that “To fight Islamophobia, powers and clandestine hands designing and expanding the plot have to be recognized first. The Zionists have an important and active role in this project”.
“Zionists have the same hatred and enmity toward Islam they had at the time of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). They do not spare any chance to strike at Islam and Muslims”, Marvi noted.
Hoj. Marvi further said: “The Zionists have unjustly and oppressively occupied Palestinian. If Hitler of Germany has killed the Jews, why should the Muslims pay for it?”
AQR chief custodian went on to say: “Muslims must be aware of the Zionists' hostility and evil plans. In addition to prompt anti-Islam moves in the world, Zionism has also created ISIS to complete its Islamophobia project across the globe”.
Stating that actions and behaviors of ISIS members have nothing to do with orders and teachings of Islam, Marvi said: “The Zionists and Americans who were creators of ISIS have propagated brutal crimes of ISIS members under the name of Islam”.
Commemorating memories of General Soleimani, Hoj. Marvi stated: “Had it not been the efforts, sacrifices, and strategic plans of martyr Soleimani, it would not have been clear what would happen to Islamic countries by ISIS”.
He added: “The arrogance front did not create ISIS to occupy Iraq and Syria and to run a government; rather, the ISIS was in fact a second movement of Zionism and a leverage over all Islamic countries”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, AQR custodian said Astan Quds Razavi hosts around 500 thousand Pakistani pilgrims, doing its best to serve them.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in turn, referred to the wide range of AQR services for Pakistani pilgrims at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine, and expressed his thanks to the chief custodian. “Mashhad and the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) receive more than 500 thousand Pakistani pilgrims annually, and this number will increase in the future due to the high security in the city and in the complex”.
Expressing his happiness for having a pilgrimage at holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), Pakistani senior diplomat added: “My heart tells me until you are not in this sacred place, you will not be able to understand its spiritual atmosphere”.
Emphasizing that the visit is a sign of Muslim unity, the Pakistani foreign minister said: "This meeting is one of my best working meetings and I thank the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for arranging it."
Pointing to the separate meetings he had with Iran’s president, speaker of the parliament and the minister of foreign affairs during his visit to Iran, he said: "I thank Ayatollah Khamenei for the sincere support of the oppressed people of Kashmir as he has repeatedly expressed his support."
Concluding his remarks, Qureshi expressed his satisfaction over common opinions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Islamic Republic of Pakistan over international issues, saying: "I believe that Islamic countries can bring better conditions for the whole Islamic world by practicing unification and solidarity."
