A project has been kicked off recently through investment of a company affiliated to Astan Quds Razavi and scientific support of a renowned university to overhaul medical equipment and machines that had been discarded from service due to malfunctioning. The project is a joint venture by AQR’s Technology and Innovation Company and Sharif University of Technology which has focused on overhaul of out-of-service medical equipment which were not usable due to lack of technical know-how either for repair or re-operation.
According to the project, the faulty machines and equipment are overhauled and returned to service after acquisition of certificate of rehabilitation from the medical organizations in charge.
Repair and return to service of 20 ventilators, a CT Scan unit and a CRM machine during the coronavirus pandemic have already been accomplished while 81 new machines and equipment are scheduled to be repaired and returned to service in the coming months.
The project has plans to boost capacity to overhaul 20 medical machines per month to meet the demands under intense coronavirus restrictions and cruel sanctions. The project primarily intends to boost productivity, make use of domestic workforce and specialty in a bid to increase employment, save forex for the country, and prevent migration of the elite students.
