AQR holds Quran memorization plan for teenagers
Some 200 Iranian teenagers have attended the first day of a Quran memorization plan at Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine in Mashhad, northeast Iran.

According to Seyyed Masoud Mirian, the head of Astan Quds Razavi’s Holy Quran Center, organizer of the plan, this round-the-clock plan intends to nurture future generation of Iranian Quran reciters and flag carriers of the culture attributed to Imam Reza (AS).
Hoj. Mirian added: “The Quranic project which was held with close cooperation of Bayt al-Ahzan Institute tried to propound Quran and Itrat (Lineage) as two important assets remaining from Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and two wings among future generation of the country”.
Referring to the collaboration of Bayt al-Ahzan Institute, he said: “Cooperating with this famous institute, we hope to nurture some Quran learners to be models for all institutes and holy places inside and outside the country”.
“The National movement for memorization of Quran has been started in the vicinity of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine and it is intended to train Quran ambassadors to be the future teachers of Quran in the country. This can only be done with the will and special favor of the Eighth Imam (AS)”, Mirian said.
Noting that selected teenagers will be guests of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine for 45 days, he said: “These young learners have to memorize two thirtieth parts of the Holy Book at their primary education”.
According to him, each 15-member group of these learners will enjoy teaching by a Quran master as supervised by Bayt al-Ahzan institute.
The official further revealed that after this period of education, a general test will choose best learners for a one-year Quranic study program in September 2022.
