Iraqi officials visit AQR booth at Najaf International Book Fair
The visit took place on the first day of the exhibition in the presence of Luay al-Yassiry, the Governor of Najaf, Aqil Al-Turaihi, the Governor of Karbala, along with a group of lecturers and academicians from the University of Najaf.
“The participation of Astan Quds Razavi in this exhibition is a source of pride and blessing for us,” al-Yassiry said.
Furthermore, Al-Turaihi stated that works of Astan Quds Razavi are always exquisite and well considered by the elite in scientific circles.
Morteza Enferadi, the director of Razavi culture and conduct group, also expressed his satisfaction with the visit, thanking organizers of the exhibition.
He introduced some of the works of the exhibition to the attendees, adding, “Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi has always been successful in revival of Shia heritage, and especially production of works related to the life and conduct of the Eighth Imam (AS). These works have been ranked well in national and international festivals.”
He pointed out that the Scientific and Cultural Organization of AQR has participated in the Najaf fair with more than 6,000 volumes of books.
The Najaf International Book Fair, with the participation of 200 international publishers from Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Turkey, is now open to the public.
