Holy Shrine and Pilgrims Are Astan Quds Razavi’s Main Endowment Approach

Astan Quds Razavi’s deputy for endowments and legal affairs said, Focus on Holy Shrine and its pilgrims are Astan Quds Razavi’s main endowment approach.
Astan Quds Razavi’s deputy for endowments and legal affairs said, "Focus on Holy Shrine and its pilgrims are Astan Quds Razavi’s main endowment approach".  
According to Astan News reporter, speaking at the specialized forum of “Endowment and Media”, Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Reza Daneshvar Sani, Astan Quds Razavi’s deputy for endowments and legal affairs stated, "The importance of endowment is crystal clear to all and it has been referred by all celestial schools and religions. Endowment is one of the most essential affairs of human society and also economic orders of Islam; it has also been known with other names in other religions". This forum was held tonight at Quds cultural institution’ auditorium hall.
Referring to the social, family, and economic difference among society, he stated, "The main mission of donation and endowment organizations and those similar to them is to persuade wealthy people of society to support life of need people".
Pointing to other names of endowment within Islamic and jurisprudential orders, he said, "In Islam, titles such as alms, Imam’s (A.S.) share, vow, and Zakat are also used for this purpose. Endowment is in fact a kind of monetary compensation for some groups of society suffering from urgent life needs". 
Referring to the function of mentioned reformations, Daneshvar Sani added, " Alms is for meeting people’s urgent needs and Zakat is for proving yearly needs items of poor and needy people in the society. Endowment has got a cultural, scientific, and economic function so that endowment sources can solve country’s problems".
Pointing to the difference between endowment and other charities, he continued, "Endowment has had a very long persistence during the history and many people have endowed their property in different areas such as constructing schools and homes. Seminary schools inside and outside of the country in Shia district areas are perfect sample of reaching to science; many of these centers have been built by using endowment sources to fill the cultural, scientific, and educational gaps in the society".
Daneshvar Sani referred to the cultural endowments and said, "The biggest center for getting knowledge and information is various forms of pulpit lecturing such as infallible Imams’ (A.S.) mourning ceremonies particularly that of Imam Hossein (A.S.). Many people endowed their income for this purpose so that purpose can get access to information about various worldly and divine affairs; pulpits were considered a media speakers of those days".
Elaborating health endowments done by people, he sated, "Medical expenses is so high to the extent that ninety percent of people cannot afford it and the benefactor supports people with his own endowment income".
Focusing on Holy Shrine and its pilgrims were introduced by the organization’s deputy for endowment and legal affairs. He also stated, "Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Holy Shrine hosts many pilgrims during the year and benefactors pay attention to the needs of this group of visitors. Benefactors, therefore, have left some endowment incomes for pilgrims’’ accommodations and cultural sessions".
He stated, "The lightening endowments of the Holy Shrine is among the most important endowment rubrics. The oldest endowment belongs to this area as well. The biggest ones have also been dedicated for this goal, lightening, in a way that over 105 endowments with an age of 513 years are existent in this rubric".
He referred, "Dar al-Shifa, medical and carpet endowments of the Holy Shrine have been financed in history by the income of endowments. Some endowments have also been created with the purpose of triggering motivation within rich and benefactors’ minds so that they allocate some endowments for the Razavi pilgrims. The endowment of 3rd of Sha’ban is one of these endowments based on which all the wealthy people of Khorasan are invited and the custodian of the Razavi Holy Shrine briefs them on the needs of the complex so that they offer some part of their properties as an endowment to this Illuminated Shrine".
Referring to the importance of shrine and pilgrim in endowment approaches, he stated, "Pilgrims’ accommodation is a new need which has been attended a lot in recent years. The first step for dealing with this issue was taken firmly and inclusively with order of Astan Quds Razavi’s Custodian for constructing pilgrim town. Many people have cooperated in this domain some part of the project has been come into effect".
He continued, "Astan Quds Razavi is a pure endowment based organization and all its affiliations are supported by the revenues coming from endowments. All economic affairs of this organization are within endowment framework as well".
At the end of his talk, Daneshvar Sani referred to the common endowment and stated, "This kind of endowment has a history of 300 years and several people have registered a common endowment through a cooperative financing. Among various works and projects of this kind, Razavi pilgrim town can be referred to in which many people have cooperated for building each suite and one collective endowment deed has been issued for all participating benefactors; common endowment has started since times before, therefore".
He referred to the increase in the number of endowments and continued, "Endowment has increased up to 90 percent after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and thirty new endowments have been added and registered since the beginning of the current year, 1397/ March of 2018".
